Product Description

A flange cover is a mechanical sealing component typically used at the interface between two pipes or vessels. It consists of two parallel flat surfaces with a soft filler material—such as rubber or polytetrafluoroethylene—sandwiched between them. When the two flange covers are bolted together, the filler material is compressed under pressure, creating a seal that prevents fluid leakage. Flange covers offer excellent sealing performance, ease of installation and removal, and high reliability, making them widely employed in industries such as petroleum, chemical processing, food, and pharmaceuticals. Depending on operating conditions and media characteristics, flange covers come in various materials and specifications. Common standards include ANSI, DIN, and JIS. With industrial advancement, the applications of flange covers continue to expand, while new technologies and materials are increasingly incorporated into their design and manufacturing to enhance performance and accommodate more complex service environments.
